Mangal Dust Chamber is used for Dust proof Luminaires ( IP5 ) & Dust tight Luminaires (IP6).

Luminaires are tested in this dust Chamber in which Talcum powder/Chalk powder is maintained in suspension by an air current. A glass window is provided in dust chamber through which the luminaires Position, ON and OFF conditions can be viewed.

A talcum powder/chalk powder (Dust) collecting conical shaped jar or tray is kept below the dust chamber. The dust is made to pass through the wire mesh of specified gauge and is collecting in the bottom portion. This dust collecting jar is suitably vibrated so as to pass the dust through the wire mesh.

A circulating pump/blower is used for re-circulation of the collected dust again to the top of the chamber.
